Wash & Prep

1) First, the headlights are inspected and analyzed. The method for restoration is treated differently depending on the level of oxidation, shape of the lens, the depth of rock pitting & scratches, and/or the presence of a pealing clear coat.


2) The headlight lenses are chemically degreased to remove any debris or bug slatter and double taped with 3M automotive masking tape to protect the surrounding paint from damage during the resurfacing process.

Sand

3)  A multi-step micro resurfacing process is started. An electric sander and a sanding block are used during the resurfacing process to ensure every area of the headlight lens is hit evenly including corners and edges which may not be accessible via machine​. This step is pivotal in ensuring the final result is even.

Buff & prime

4) Once the resurfacing process is complete, the headlights are buffed via trizact material. This step is highly pivotal in eliminating any remaining swirls or scratches left over from the resurfacing process.

 

5) An Iso-purification treatment is administered to rectify an ultra clean and dry surface for the UV application. This treatment will also act as a primer to the hard coat promoting proper adhesion.

Protect and Cure

6) A manufacture-grade clear coat (OEM crosslink polymer) is carefully applied layer by layer. The headlights are then UV-cured and the restoration is fully complete. Our restoration service is backed with a 1 year written warranty.

 

Please allow the headlights 24 hours to fully cure without coming in to contact with water (sprinklers, car wash, rain, etc.)
